This is my Bedford TM that I have been using for the past two years or so for military shows and general traveling in the UK. I originally built the body to fit inside the canvas to keep the original look which was fine for shows etc but for some reason the Caravan Club dont like when you turn up at a site (We did it once just for a laugh !)
The decision was made to do a full conversion and strip the military body completly off and start again with something we can take overseas etc. The new chassis is now built and waiting to go on so all I have to do is strip the rear bed and body off and start again.
The pictures are from the conversion I did 2 years ago.
What made you choose this one?
Had a drive in it and loved it. Loads of power and no problems going over weight with what ever goes on the back.
Main criteria for this project?
Want something to travel further a field without getting shot at.
Modifications undertaken?
Rear living body fitted under canvas
Modifications yet to do?
Strip it and start again.
How does it perform?
Great, sits at 55MPH all day long up and down hill with still more if required,
